Welcome to our Pre-School

The Bradford Abbas Pre-school was established over 50 years ago in April 1967 following the development of new houses in the village, this prompted a group of parents to advertise in the local paper to generate some interest. To begin with the setting was run by volunteers however with changing government legislation the pre-school employed staff and developed its services. There are many people still living in the village who have been part of the pre-school over the years, all having various memories and stories to tell.

Lessons that spark Creativity

The imaginative use of songs, rhymes, stories and role play are some of the ways we extend children's creative and expressive language. Children's high levels of achievement and enthusiasm for learning prepare them well for school life.

We are Outstanding!

Ofsted rated us ‘Outstanding‘ in 2009 and again in 2015, this is an amazing achievement and something we are extremely proud of.

We are a Registered Charity

We are a community based, voluntary managed pre-school which depends on parents/carers and their involvement to operate and function.

Managed by You!

Have your say…
The overall management and control of the pre-school rests with the individual members of the Management Committee. As well as being responsible for the management of the pre-school the committee members are also the charity trustees of the pre-school.

Come on, get involved!

There are lots of different was to help out and contribute to the success of our pre-school. We are very lucky to have a keen fundraising sub-committee who are always planning the next event to bring in the much needed cash!
We're always on the lookout for extra volunteers and new members. Anybody who has a small amount of time which they can spend baking a cake for a cake sale, designing posters, serving breakfasts, ringing around local businesses for donations are all really valued. Joining our committee will help you get to know the other parents and meet new friends.
