As a registered charity we receive funding from the government for all children attending who are aged three and above (from the beginning of the term after their 3rd birthday), and also for some children aged two 1/2, depending on their circumstances.  However, the funding alone does not cover the cost of running a Preschool.  Coupled with some recent Government cutbacks which mean that all staff training now has to be paid for from our own pockets you can see it is a very tight ship indeed!

….it is not all bad news though!

We are very lucky to have a keen fundraising sub-committee who are always planning the next event to bring in the much needed cash! and we are always on the lookout for extra volunteers and new members. Anybody who has a small amount of time which they can spend baking a cake for a cake sale, designing posters, serving breakfasts, ringing round local businesses for donations are all really valued. Joining our committee will help you get to know the other parents and meet new friends.  We hold meetings at the local pub, the Rose & Crown where you will receive a very warm welcome.  Sometimes it can feel like a chore, but it is worth it for the lovely warm feeling you get inside!

We rely on local businesses partnerships to support our preschool and we often receive donations that contribute towards the wonderful prizes on offer during our fundraising events. We are extremely grateful for all the help and support we receive and would like to give a special ‘thank you’ to everyone involved.
